What are HSA Qualified Expenses?

When looking into Health Savings Accounts, the question may arise, what can I use this on. This list shows what services are Qualified Expenses that your HSA can cover.

Certain insurance premiums can also be a HSA qualified expense. Most however do not. Here is a list of a few that are qualified:
- Qualified long-term care
- COBRA or State Continuatuion health care coverage
- Health care coverage while an individual is receiving unemployment compensation
- For individuals over age 65: Medicare part A or B and Medicare HMO or the employee portion of an employer health insurance plan
There are some specific expenses that are not qualified expenses under an HSA. These are:
- Any onther health insurance premiums not listed above
- Life insurance policies
- Hospital insurance benefits tax
- Nursing care of a healthy baby
- Cometic surgery
- Tooth Bleaching
